As a Supervisor System Assembly you are the first point of contact for Assembly Technicians in your shift. It is your responsibility to work with the team and to guide the team members, in order to ensure smoothly running assembly processes.
Your daily job
Our System Assembly is divided over two major teams, separated per customer group. Due to the nature of our project portfolio, we have many projects running at the same time. Leading this is challenging and interesting for you as supervisor. We work in two shifts, this position is the supervisor for the late shift (15h30-24h00).
Technicians receive both components and instructions for a clear assembly of the products. The challenge lies in keeping quality high and employees motivated. It’s up to you to ensure both goals, whilst remaining on track with planning. You are the main contact for Production Engineering in case of technical support, but also towards the Production Manager.
As Supervisor System Assembly, you are responsible for the team’s output and high standard quality of work
- Executing operational activities
- Guiding and supporting the (new) team members
- Supporting the daily shift briefing.
- Feedback about performance team members.
Who are you
You’ve been working in assembly positions for at least 5 years. Also, you’ve been leading a (small) team, formally or informally. For you, working structured and following procedures is a very important point in your daily operations.
You are not just leading the team, you are an example of how the work should be done. You have experience in handling difficult or challenging situations. Being an example also includes your behavior, leading by example. Motivating and supporting the team, translating the AME values and DNA to all employees and going the extra mile when needed. Being responsible is acting where needed and letting people grow when possible. You are at the heart of this, leading by example.
