Production Program Manager


 This position assists in the administration of the functions of the office of the Vice Chair and Head of Production in the Department of Film, Television & Digital Media.

The position shares responsibility for key administrative management of the MFA Production Program (100%). The UCLA Production Program is a three-year MFA program training graduate students in filmmaking, with concentrations in Narrative Directing, Cinematography, and Documentary Filmmaking.

The Program Analyst reports to the Vice Chair of the Production Program and the Department MSO and will be responsible for the following:

Production Program (100%):
Oversees the day-to-day operations and budget of the Production Program.
Prepares quarterly Production Program course schedule and classroom assignments for approval by the Vice Chair.
Coordinates and advises faculty on curricular planning, course maintenance, classroom needs.
Assists the Vice Chair in the coordination of student academic issues and petitions.
Assists faculty and Vice Chair on academic assessment, curricular changes and adjustments to catalog copy.
Assists the Vice Chair with administration of student funding efforts, including "incentive funding" program; maintains spreadsheets detailing proposed and executed payments.
Supervises Production Program work-studies and student workers.
Manages Production Program events, including lectures, master classes, conferences, and screenings.
In tandem with the Department Festival Director, co-producers Director's Spotlight and Undergraduate Spotlight nights at the annual TFT Festival of Creative Work.
Conducts various research and data collection assignments in support of the Vice Chair.
Coordinates with TFT marketing and communications staff on external communications related to faculty and student accomplishments in the Production Program.
Coordinates with TFT Development Office on fundraising and donor fund administration.
Coordinates hiring of Lecturers, Teaching Assistants and student workers in Production Program.
Coordinates admissions interviews and communications with faculty throughout the admissions process.
Assists with Production Program Orientation events.
Manages Sound Mixing Subsidy Program for Production MFA students.
Tracks and communicates operating policies and procedures in the Production Area as determined by faculty.
Manages Production Mentorship Program.
Serves as backup to department insurance and permit analyst.

1. Masters Degree and 3 years related experience
