Job Summary:
A warehouse clerk plays a vital role in the efficient operation of a warehouse facility. They are responsible for performing various tasks related to inventory management, order processing, and maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Record and update inventory data using computerized systems or manual records.
  • Organize and maintain stock shelves, bins, and storage areas for easy access and efficient inventory tracking.
  • Perform regular physical counts and reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Order Processing:
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requests or internal requisitions.
  • Ensure that products are labeled, packaged, and staged appropriately for shipment.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to schedule deliveries and pickups.
Data Entry and Documentation:
  • Enter data into computer systems to update inventory records, track shipments, and generate reports.
  • Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damages, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Report any quality issues or discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments.
  • Follow established quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards.
Organizational and Cleanliness Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including shelving, aisles, and workspaces.
  • Dispose of packaging materials and waste in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Assist in the arrangement and optimization of warehouse layout to maximize space utilization.
Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Communicate effectively to relay information about inventory status, orders, and any issues that arise.
Shipping Coordination:
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely shipment processing.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehousing, inventory management, or related field is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and using inventory management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual: English / Spanish.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
