Competitive Compensation
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides primary medical care within the standard of care for the primary specialty
(
Internal Medicine or Family Practice).
Orders laboratory and radiology tests as appropriate- keeping in mind the environment of limited resources.
Consults with specialists regarding patient referrals; assists in providing adequate and appropriate medical information during the provision of specialist care; assist in securing ancillary services requested by consulting physician.
Supervises and consults with charge nurse regarding patient evaluation, triage and disposition.
Maintains complete, timely and legible medical records. Returns charts to medical records office daily.
Meets or exceeds productivity goals in regard to patient visits.
DEPARTMENT/STATE SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS
o Must be able to assess and respond to urgent issues in a competent manner.
o Must maintain effective relationships and communication with the staff at all levels of the organization.
o Good organizational skills are required.
o Professional attitude and adherence to office policies and procedures is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Experienced clinical physician
- Board certified in primary care
family practice or internal medicine) or board eligible if physician has graduated within the last 2 years.
Experience:
- 2 yrs. clinical experience required
includes residency experience), 3+ yrs. preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed in the
applicable) State and with the DEA
